Instructions for Authors
Journal Phlebology and Lymphology is an Open Access online journal, which publishes Research articles, Reviews and Letters in the field of cardiovascular medicine, aiming at providing the most complete and reliable source of information on current developments in the field.
Online Manuscript Submission: To facilitate rapid publication the
Journal Phlebology and Lymphology accepts only
online submission. The full manuscript has to be submitted:

Any manuscripts, or substantial parts of it, submitted to the journal must not be under consideration by any other journal. In general, the manuscript should not have already been published in any journal or other citable form. The principal/corresponding author will be required to submit a Covering Letter along with the manuscript, on behalf of all the co-authors (if any). Furthermore, any illustration, structure or table that has been published elsewhere must be reported, and copyright permission for reproduction must be obtained. all authors have read and agreed to its content, and that any experimental research that is reported in the manuscript has been performed with the approval of an appropriate ethics committee. Research carried out on humans must be in compliance with the
Helsinki Declaration.
For all online submissions, please provide users word processing. Note that figures/illustrations must be submitted as separate image files.
Manuscript Preparation: The manuscript should be written in English in a clear, direct and active style. All pages must be numbered sequentially.
Manuscript Sections:
Letters: The maximum total page length for Letter type articles published in the journal is nine journal pages. Each journal page is on average 900 words.
Research Articles: The minimum total page length for Research articles is ten journal pages, and the maximum thirty pages. Each journal page is on average 900 words.
Review Articles: The maximum page length limit for comprehensive Review articles is forty pages. For Mini-Review articles, the maximum page length is nine journal pages. Each journal page is on average 900 words.
There is restriction on the number of figures (3 maximum), tables (3 maximum) or additional files e.g. video clips (1maximum), that can be included with each article online.

COVERING LETTER: covering letter also be submitted with the manuscript by the author to whom correspondence is to be addressed declaring the potential competing interests, acknowledging contributions from authors and funding agencies, and certifying that the paper is prepared according to the
'Instructions for Authors'. The authors acknowledge that the publishers have the legal right to take appropriate action against the authors for any such violation of the terms and conditions as laid down in the agreement.
TITLE: The title should be precise and brief and must not be more than 120 characters.
ABSTRACT: The abstract should not exceed 250 words for review and research papers and should be limited to only 150 words for letters. Structured into separate sections: Aim, Method, Results, Conclusion and
Trial registration, if your research article reports the results of a controlled health care intervention, please list your trial registry, along with the unique identifying number, e.g.
Trial registration: Current Controlled Trials ISRCTN73824458. Please note that there should be no space between the letters and numbers of your trial registration number.
TEXT ORGANIZATION:
Research articles: the preparation of the main text must be structured into separate sections as
Introduction, Method, Results, Discussion, Conclusion and Trial Registration.
For Review and Letter articles: the manuscript should be divided into title page, abstract and the main text and Reference sections.
***Trial Registration. The International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) defines a clinical trial as any research study that prospectively assigns human subjects to one or more health related interventions to evaluate the effects on health outcomes. Authors of protocols or reports of such clinical trials, where the primary purpose of the research is to understand the causes, development and effects of disease, or to improve preventative, diagnostic or therapeutic interventions, must register their trial prior to submission in a
suitable publicly accessible registry. Registries which meet the requirements of the
ICMJE include
WHO Primary Registries. The trial registration number should be included as the last line of the
abstract of the manuscript
Ethical Approval of Studies and Informed Consent: For human or animal experimental investigations, it is a prerequisite to provide a formal review and approval by an appropriate institutional review board or ethics committee and should be documented in your paper. For investigations with human subjects should obtain the consent of the patient (oral or written) to use the study material including photographs and report on the session method.
The Journal Phlebology and Lymphology ask you to send a signed consent form before publication. Consent must be obtained for all Case Reports and Clinical Pictures.
LIST OF ABBREVIATIONS: If abbreviations are used in the text either they should be defined in the text where first used, or a list of abbreviations can be provided.
CONFLICT OF INTEREST: Financial contributions to the work being reported should be clearly acknowledged by all authors.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS: Please acknowledge anyone who contributed towards the study by making substantial contributions to conception, design, acquisition of data, or analysis and interpretation of data, or who was involved in drafting the manuscript or revising it critically for important intellectual content, but who does not meet the criteria for authorship. Please also include their source(s) of funding. Please also acknowledge anyone who contributed materials essential for the study. The role of a medical writer must be included in the acknowledgements section, including their source(s) of funding.
Authors should obtain permission to acknowledge from all those mentioned in the Acknowledgements.

FIGURES/ILLUSTRATIONS: Figures should be provided as separate files and should not be included in the main text of the submitted manuscript. The legend should be included.

TABLES:
*Data Tables should be submitted in Microsoft Word, separated file but cited in the text. *Table number in Calibri font 12. Table 1, should follow a title. *Tables should be embedded in the text exactly according to their appropriate placement in the submitted manuscript.
SUPPORTIVE/SUPPLEMENTARY MATERIAL: We do encourage presentation supportive material used, a video, or the original data provided it is inevitable or endorsed by the journal's Editor. The material requires written permission. Any additional files will be linked into the final published article. and the material can not exceed 3MB.

Journal Phlebology and Lymphology uses online peer review to speed up the publication process. The time taken to reach a final decision depends on whether reviewers request revisions.
